On the southern border of Alaska and British Columbia is Dixon Entrance where the archipelago is open to the pounding Pacific Ocean - its long swells and ferocious storms. This wild coast has few inhabitants now but many wondrous waterways, beaches, capes, offshore islands and abounds with sea life. Many historical native settlement remnants can still be found.
