In September 2012 for our third year John and I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail from Oregon (Columbia River) to British Columbia traversing the state of Washington. We had gorgeous late summer weather only marred by forest fire smoke and encountered many wild flowers in the high alpine and fall colors as we moved north through the dramatic scenery of the Washington Cascades and Volcanoes - Mt. St. Helens, Adams, Rainier, Baker, Glacier Peak.
