Grytviken is the Norwegian Whaling station on South Georgia Island where Ernest Shackleton and other Antarctic explorers sailed from as their last port of call. South Georgia is a rugged and remote large island in the Southern Ocean with incredible populations of bird and sea mammal inhabitants.
